College Students

Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is a Christian outreach to university students throughout the United States and the world. We meet on campus in groups of varying size and style and invite everyone to be a part, regardless of background. These gatherings are informal, infused with music and interaction, and discuss topics from a Biblical viewpoint; everything from relationships to the nature of truth. We meet with God and each other to find and meet the needs of our campuses and communities.

We are a movement of college-age men and women earnestly following Jesus. No, we are not a fraternity or sorority. (We get that question a lot.) Actually, our name comes straight from the Bible:

"We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God." 2 Corinthians 5:20

We’ve shortened the term Christ's ambassadors – or Christou apostoloi in Greek – to the first letters “Chi” and “Alpha” or XA. Our name is a constant reminder we are a part of God’s global mission.

Kentucky Chi Alpha exists to help students at Kentucky's discover Jesus' plan for their lives and share the goodness of God with others along the way. We believe wherever we are, whatever we are doing, we carry God to that place. We want His Name to be known and His Power to be seen.

We are reconciling students to Christ, equipping them through Spirit-filled communities of prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship and mission to transform the university, the marketplace and the world.

Chi Alpha is a community of believers dedicated to equipping students with real, transforming faith.  We do this through living a lifestyle of worship and honor to God, and so we meet in both small faith groups called "Connect" groups and large whole group services which we call "Converge" services.  In these meetings we have time for worship, discussion, and teaching centered around living out a life of faith in Christ.  We believe in a life empowered by the Holy Spirit to be God's witnesses and we do this in multiple ways.

We believe the church is God's declaration of His kingdom coming to Earth and so we live this out through various outreach opportunities in our community; striving to serve the real needs of people.  We also strive to see every moment as an opportunity to introduce people to the most amazing thing that has ever happened to us: Jesus Christ.  In that our lives, our actions, and our relationships should all point to the one who saved us proclaiming the Kingdom of God until He comes.  If you would like more information about anything you have read, check us out at our website, our Facebook page of the same name, orcontact Pastor Ben through email.  We would love to have you come be a part of what God is doing at Eastern Kentucky University.

God called us to be XA Directors at Morehead State University in 2012. We believe the university is the most strategic mission field in the world. We have created a culture focusing on prayer, fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, and missions comprised of a diverse community of students from different backgrounds and nationalities.
We focus on staff and student-led small groups, one-on-one discipleship meetings, campus evangelism, weekly prayer and worship gatherings, and global mission projects.
Our motto is "One More." Every day, we desire to reach one more person with the message and love of Jesus.
Our mission is to reconcile students to Christ and equip them to transform the university, the marketplace, and the world.
Our vision is to train students to be missionaries that will pioneer Chi Alphas at other KY universities

University Of Kentucky Chi Alpha

We exist to connect students with God and each other. We believe the Bible is relevant in our everyday lives and can move us from just hearing and believing about Jesus to actually following and becoming a disciple of Jesus. Our goal is to make Jesus famous and transform students' lives so they can accomplish what they were created for by worshiping God, studying His word, serving people and being a carrier of His presence.
